Culture is the arts elevated to a set of beliefs

About Workshop

Lumads continue to battle for their rights, glaring throughout the light while living in the dark, striving to raise their unheard voices, weighing discrimination and judgments based on ignorance. They continue to overcome all obstacles as they assemble beads and weave accessories that mark their identity as a tribe of pride, vibrant and out of bounds, via their fashion and beadworks perfected by culture.

With the goal of preserving and protecting the cultural identity of Philippine native art, this website "Màgico De lumad," in collaboration with other organizations dedicated to preserving and protecting Philippine native art, is launching a free workshop and seminar open to all Filipinos, young or old, men or women, who are interested in learning the traditional and cultural ways of the Philippines.

We guarantee that you will learn Philippine traditional art in this workshop, which you will carry and pass down to future generations of our nation. With a curated choice of gorgeous natural yarn and fibres, you'll acquire the fundamentals of weaving, basketry, and other crafts, and you'll become a confident weaver who dares to experiment and eventually develop your own unique style. It will be much easier for you to take up new techniques from books, videos, and tutorials if you have a fundamental understanding of weaving.
